-> Saint Ida B. Jones, died May 15, 2005 at Candler Hospital. In 1935 she joined the United House of Prayer for all People in Scotia, SC. She served faithful until her death on various auxiliaries which included: President of #2 Ushers for twenty-two years; booster for the Invaders, sand with The Harlem Singers and a cafeteria worker for many years in New York City after moving there in December 1949 until December 1984. After moving back to Savannah in 1984, served faithful with the Girl Scouts, United Club and Savannah District Marching Band as a booster. Her most recent duties at Canaanland Mission were: President of Presidents, President of Senior Ushers and Treasurer. She is survived by one sister, St. Jannie Lattimore of Savannah, GA, Willie Mae Housey and Emmett Wilson of Pineland, SC, Eugene Ling (Dorothy) of Tallahassee, FL, Robert Ling (Jennette) of Brooklyn, NY, Lawrence Ling (Annie) of Smoaks, SC, Ida Gadson (Willie), Clarence Axon (Daisy), and Is aac Lattimore (Abie) of Savannah, GA; Suzanne Rahab (Jimmy), and Anita Drake (Maurice), Almisha Mattox (Tom), Catherine Battise, Iretha Durham, Diane Battise, Elder Lonnie and Sister Dorothy Brunson; Willie Mae Williams, and Easter Cook, and a host of relatives and friends.
