CARTER, SUSAN LOUISE MUSSELMAN - 59, traded her broken, earthly body for a pain-free heavenly one on November 6, 2014. Susan was the beloved daughter of George (deceased) and Polly Musselman; the treasured older sister of Cindy and Pete Musselman; the faithful wife and companion of Kevin Carter; the loving and devoted mother of Daniel and Cliff Carter; the delighted grandmother of Daniel and Ashley's lovely daughters: Audrey, Cadence and Sydney. Susan patiently battled rheumatoid arthritis for her entire adult life-becoming a bionic woman over time. While she was forced into early medical retirement, she continued to serve the Lord as a foster parent to a number of needy children over the years and as the preschool choir teacher for her church as well. Susan demonstrated more joy, patience, faith and inner strength than anyone I've ever had the privileged to know. While she will be missed by those of us she leaves behind, we will celebrate the good works that God enabled her to do here on earth, the way that she touched each of our lives and the knowledge that she will be able to lift her beautiful voice in the heavenly choir for all time to glorify God. Family will receive friends November 13, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Powell.
