Susan F. (Glenn) Hoffman, 54, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 25, 2010, at her home. Her death was both sudden and surprising. Susan was born on December 2, 1955 in Schenectady and graduated from Linton High School. She was currently employed by Applebys. Susan and her husband owned a tavern in Springhill, FL. She enjoyed traveling, by flying their plane, driving on their motorcycle or cruising the high seas to remote locations around the world with her family. She led a very active life between supporting her granddaughter's activities, cooking, boating, and entertaining her friends. Susan's skills in the kitchen were highly regarded by everyone who enjoyed them. She is survived by her parents, Caroline and Michael Glenn of Schenectady; her loving husband, Daniel Hoffman; son, Daniel Hoffman, Jr.(Nichole); her granddaughter, Haley Hoffman; sisters, Lorraine (Wilton) Vicki and Denise; and brother, Gerald (all from Schenectady); and Barbara Hoffman (Conway SC), her mother-in-law. Susan is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and close friends who will cherish the memories of her life. She will be especially missed by her loyal four legged loving companion, Jesse. There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Downing Funeral Home in Springhill, FL 34607 between 6 and 8 p.m. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be a local memorial service at a date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made in Susan's memory to either the charity of one's choice or to Greyhounds As Companions, 1777 Delaware Turnpike, Delmar, NY 12054.
