SMITH, Sophia Kathleen, affectionately known as 'Kathie,' a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Monday, July 2, 2001, at the age of 82. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by one sister, Stella Knight and one brother, Joe Stanway. She is survived be her beloved husband, Glenn Smith; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ace Sloane, Troy, AL; two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carol Carroll, Glassboro, NJ and Larry Smith, Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Marion Harris, Whitesboro, NY; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Kathleen Stanway, Boynton Beach, FL; brother-in-law, Dale Knight, Manhattan, KS and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Dorothy Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Baptist South, 2105 East South Boulevard, Montgomery, AL, 3116 or to the Millbrook Baptist Church, Millbrook, AL 36054. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Everyone will gather at the graveside on Friday morning.
