SISTER JOAN MARIE CASEY, SSND, Sr. Joan Marie Casey, SSND, age 81, of the School of Notre Dame, 345 Belden Hill Road, Wilton (off Wolf Pitt Road) died suddenly on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Boston, Mass. Sister was an Elementary and Junior High School teacher for almost 50 years. She taught at St. Joseph's Garden in City, NJ, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Roxbury, Mass., and St. Savior's in Brooklyn, NY. She served as a Sacristan at Lourdes Health Care Chapel until her death. Survivors include three nieces, Joan and Eileen Shea, both of Dorchester, Mass., and Mrs. Margaret (Kevin) Guiney of Plymouth, Mass. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the SSND Villa Chapel, Wilton with a Mass of Christian Burial. Bracken-Donovan-Spodnick, Bridgeport, directing. Visiting will be held Tuesday (Today) from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m.
