TUSCALOOSA Sharon Kay Wilson, age 58, of Tuscaloosa, died July 9, 2007, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Ken Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.Her grandparents, Bernice Turnipseed, E.W. Horton, and Johnny and Addie Lancaster, preceded her in death.Survivors include her husband, Wayne R. Wilson; daughter, Teia W. Standeffer (Luke); sons, Michael W. Wilson (Shelbi) and Christopher Scott Wilson (Jessica); sisters, Anita L. Thompson and Cindy L. Walters; parents, Ernestine and Joe Lancaster; grandchildren, Ashton Standeffer, Wilson Standeffer, Jack Standeffer, Morgan Wilson, Kailin Wilson, Belle Wilson, Anna Scott Wilson and Emily Wilson; four nieces, Amy Clements, Nicole Walters, Sarah Walters, Caroline Walters; two nephews, Shannon Johnson and Brett Johnson; and great nephew, Tyler Johnston.Sharon was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to her husband, Wayne, for 44 years, and she found tremendous joy in the lives of her children and grandchildren. All who knew her experienced her energy and love for life and her family. She also found joy in flower gardening, horseback riding, and in raising her pets. She was a member of Northridge Baptist Church.Pallbearers will be Mike Isaacs, David Jones, Jerry Sheppard, Greg Donaldson, Willie Beck, J.T. Harkey, Shannon Johnson and Brett Johnson.Honorary pallbearers are employees at Wayne Wilson Texaco.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Northridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
