SMITH - Sandra E. Of Fairless Hills, died on Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne surrounded by her family. She was 67. Born in Buffalo, New York, Sandra was the daughter of the late Sydney and Velma (nee Brown) Phillipson. She was a resident of Fairless Hills for over 29 years. She worked as a lab technician at FMC Corporation in Princeton NJ for more than 20 years. An avid gardener, Sandra loved reading, computer games, hummingbirds, dogs, cats and greatly enjoyed making any type of crafts. She was also a longtime member of the African Violet Society of Lower Bucks County. Sandra enjoyed the simple, important things in life that most people take for granted. What brought her the most joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra was the beloved wife of Cassius Smith for 48 years and the loving mother of Cheryl Smith (fiance of Don Garrett) of New Hope, Roger (Jolene) Smith of Phoenixville and Brian (Julie) Smith of Langhorne. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Chris (Jenn), Mandy, Sydney, Jenna, Xander, her great grandchildren Levi and Eden, and her brothers Lester (Joan), Timothy (Michelle), Robin, Russ (Mary), Kevin (Derek), and Dan (Sarah) Phillipson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, especially Cathy and her son Tyler. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the JAMES J. DOUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
