Ryan-Timothy Smith, born in 1983, son of Tim and Susan, died on March 22, 2011 at 28 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Funeral services for Ryan Timothy Smith, 28, will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville with the Rev. Dr. Derek Staples and the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Mr. Smith died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at RMC in Anniston. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Susan Smith; one sister, Katelyn Smith Pritchett and her husband, Mark; his grandmother, Kay Smith, all of Jacksonville; three aunts, Sherry Farkas and her husband, Bill, of Jacksonville, Kathy Noell and her husband, Scott, of Margaret and Marsha Barry and her husband, Tim, of Jacksonville and seven beloved cousins. Ryan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He was actively involved in the Youth Republicans of Alabama during his youth. During that time he helped with Mike Rogers' first successful congressional campaign and was invited to Bob Riley's first inaugural ball. Ryan had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the piano. He also enjoyed golf and taekwondo. Ryan was a wonderful son, brother and grandson and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earnest Smith and his grandparents, Paul and Pauline Waldrop. The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Regional Medical Center in Anniston for all of their care and support during Ryan's hospitalization.
