BOONVILLE Ruth Wendt Hall, a former resident of Delmar and Bradenton, Fla., passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at the home of her brother-in-law, John Sanford, East Road in Boonville, where she had resided for the past three years. Ruth was born on March 12, 1916 in Deansboro, N.Y., the daughter of Lyman and Vera (McCale) Wendt. The family moved to Boonville in 1920, where she graduated from Boonville High School with the Class of 1933 and, in 1934, she married Henry J. Hall. They moved to Delmar, N.Y. where they resided until Mr. Hall retired in 1968. During her years in Delmar, Ruth was an active member of the First United Methodist Church. She was elected to many leadership posts on the local Albany District and Troy United Methodist Conference level. While residing in Bradenton, Mrs. Hall was very involved in the Bradenton Trinity Methodist Church. During her years in Boonville, Ruth was an active supporter of the Presbyterian Church and His Name Circle. She was also an active participant in the Episcopalian Forum. Ruth was the beloved mother of two daughters, Dorie (Stephen) Hallenbeck, Nancy (John) DuBois; six grandchildren, Joel and Heather Hallenbeck, Betsy Hallenbeck, Katie, J. David and Christopher DuBois; and many much loved nieces, nephews and dear, dear friends. Ruth's siblings, Clifford, Frank and Doris W. Sanford predeceased her by many years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Boonville, where Rev. Linda Logan, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church of Boonville, will officiate. There are no calling hours and interment will be private in Albany Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., Boonville, NY 13309.
