Ruth Sullivan Johnson, of 19 Buckhead Lane, Simpsonville, died Monday at her home. Born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late Samuel Sullivan and Lucille Bolden Sullivan, and widow of John Johnson. She attended Amity Baptist Church in Jamaica, N.Y., and was a graduate of Trenton High School in Trenton, N.J. After relocating to South Carolina, she became a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fountain Inn. She is survived by two daughters, Rolanda Johnson and Cecelia Johnson, of Queens, N.Y.; three sons, James Fullard and Samuel Fullard, both of Simpsonville, and Michael Johnson of Whitestone, N.Y.; a brother, James Sullivan, of Queens, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fountain Inn, with the Rev. S.N. Madden officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
