Ruth Hunnicutt Stewart, 59, of 9104 Moorefield Memorial Highway, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Louise Buffington Hunnicutt.She was an employee of Mayfair Mill, Glenwood Plant, for 22 years and was a branch manager for Carolina Pay Day. She was a member of Calumet Baptist Church.Surviving are her husband, William W. "Bill" Stewart, of the home; a son, Steve Stewart, of Liberty; a brother, Phillip Hunnicutt, of Anderson; a grandson, Bray Stewart, of Liberty; a very special friend, Sue Spearman, of Pickens; nieces, Patricia Kreitz, of Central, Cindy Kreitz, of Liberty, and Lynn Underwood, of Liberty; nephews, Dale Smith, of Liberty, Joe Smith, of Seneca; and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Annette Rhodes.Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
