Mrs. Ruth M. Smith - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Ruth M. Smith age 66 entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2014. She was educated in Bryan and Chatham Counties. Mrs. Smith was employed at Northshore Hospital in Miami Florida as a Surgical Tech. A member of Jordon Grove Missionary Baptist Church Miami serving on the Usher Board and Later in life she return back home and reunited with her home church Bryan Neck Baptist Church. Survivors, Daughter, Melissa R. Smith of Miami FL; stepson, Fredrick Smith of Lakeland FL; five brothers, Willie Mitchell of Atlanta, Joseph (Mary) Mitchell of Savannah, Henry (Mary) Mitchell of Atlanta, Alfozo (Kay) Mitchell of Atlanta and Benjamin (Dana) Mitchell of Richmond Hill, a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
