JOHNSTON, Ruth – (1920-2008) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth on February 18, 2008. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Carolyn (Jim) and Margaret (Chuck), grandchildren Carrie (Mark), Lesley (John), Lori (Rodney) and Deborah, great- grandchildren Aidan, Lauren, Keegan, Ashleigh, James and William. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Joseph (Joe) Johnston. Predeceased by her sisters Geneva, Elva and brother Harold. Ruth was born in Chippawa to Jessie and Harold Ricker and will be remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Mom was devoted to the care of her family and greatly enjoyed her hobbies of knitting and weaving. Ruth also enjoyed being a member of the Chippawa Women's Institute and the Women's Missionary group. Ruth's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Albright Manor, whose efforts to provide her with the highest level of care are greatly appreciated. Ruth's family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 5917 Main Street, on Thursday from 1-2 o'clock followed by a service in the chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
