Commerce - Ruth Roach Childs Pierce, 77, of 300 Spring St., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ivie Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. Survivors in addition to her husband, Bennie Pierce, include a son, Chris Gregory Childs, Athens; a brother, Horace Roach, Commerce; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Athens Banner-Herald, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004.
