Ruth Miller Fort JohnsonRuth Miller, 92, of Prospect Street, Fort Johnson, NY, passed away on March 6, 2013 after a short bat- tle with cancer. She was a life- long area resident and passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home. Ruth was born in Johnstown, NY on May 4, 1920 to the late, Arthur George Hall and Ella May (Waters) Hall. On Octo- ber 29, 1988, she married Paul Miller. Ruth retired in 1985 from St. Mary's Hospital after 16 years of service and was also an active member of the Sir William Johnson Club in Fort Hunter. Ruth was predeceased by not only her parents, but also her husband, Paul Miller; her son, Jim Bellinger; and her stepson, Jack Young. She is survived by her sister-in-law and longtime caregiver, Mavis Miller (Russell) of Mid- dleburgh, NY; and very good neighbors and friends, Ella and Bob Bassett of Fort Johnson, NY. Relatives and friends are in- vited to attend a calling period on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Betz Rossi and Bellinger, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010. A service will imme- diately follow the calling peri- od. There will be an interment in the spring at Summit Ceme- tery and will be announced at a future date.
