September 19, 2009 Ruth Marie Burke, 79 of Liverpool, passed away Saturday at home with her family at her side. She was born on June 28, 1930, the daughter of Nelson and Celia Moore Nemier. Ruth worked for many years as a housekeeper. She was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church and a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. She was prede-ceased by her son, Thomas, and sister, Muriel McCleary. Survived by her son, James; daughters: June Marie Burke of South Carolina, Irene Pope of North Carolina, Frances Shoop of Bridgeport, Pauline Meyers of Liverpool, Mary Gates of Liverpool and stepdaughter, Nina Clark; brothers, Paul Nemier of Syracuse and Charles Nemier of North Carolina; sister, June Fauls of Rome; and several grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Pilgrim Holiness Church, 310 Hatch Street. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
