>SMITH, Ruth M., 79, went to be with the Lord May 4, 2007, in Tampa. She was born in Alameda, Calif., and was a longtime resident of Tampa. Ruth belonged to the East Chelsea Baptist church and was member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend that will be greatly missed. Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Antonio Buggica and Roger Smith; her parents, Floyd and Ruth Palmer Barnes; sister, Ethel Groves; and brother, James Barnes. She is survived by her children, Anthony Buggica and wife, Donna, Kathleen Philippus and husband, Bob, and Karla Smith; grandchildren, Rob Buggica and wife Annette, Tim Buggica and wife, Barbie, Jeff Buggica, Darrell Buggica and wife, Kim, Thomas BeCude, and Karen Philippus-Roach and husband, Steven; great-grandchildren, Megan Buggica, Joey Buggica, Amy Buggica, Katie Buggica, and Kailee Roach; and sister, Mary Swank. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, with family and friends to gather an hour prior at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon, Fla.
