RENSSELAER Ruth Mary (Fox) Edwards, 77, of Rensselaer, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born in Albany, she had been a resident of the Capital Region for many years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Ring Fire Co. and a communicant of St. John's Evangelist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Ross L. Edwards. Survivors include one daughter, Linda J. (Patrick) Casey of Rensselaer; and three sons, Ross J. (Nancy) Edwards of Nassau, Raymond J. (Linda) Edwards of North Greenbush and Glen R. (Sandy) Edwards of Averill Park; two sisters, Dorothy June of Colonie and Ann VanAlstyne of Rensselaer; two brothers, John Fox of Latham and Robert Fox of Cohoes. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday, 9:00 a.m. from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer and 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. John the Evangelist on Herrick St., Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush, N.Y. The family has requested that those who wish to remember Ruth make contributions to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 in her memory.
