LEE Ruth Lee, 85, passed away on December 29, 2013. She was born July 15, 1928 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late Raymond & Annie Powell. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL, attended Dinsmore Baptist Church and loved cooking, baking and watching wrestling. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, John E. Lee, Sr.; her parents; son, Jim Carter; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include her son, John E. Lee (Gina); daughter, Johnna Dale Dunn (Rickie); sister, Gladys Alderman; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11AM at Dinsmore Baptist Church, 10500 Old Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219, with Dr. Winson Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the church beginning at 10AM. Services are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 714-1110.
