TUSCALOOSA Ruth L. Smith, age 97, of Tuscaloosa, died Jan. 13, 2009, at home. Services will be 12 noon Saturday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Steven Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in West Highland Memorial Gardens with Van Hoose and Steele Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
