August 27, 2005 Ruth L. Johnson, 102, of Oswego, died Saturday. She was a homemaker who was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Oswego and Rebecca's Odd Fellows in Syracuse. Surviving are three daughters: Carol Johnson of Fulton, Lynne (Emmitt) Phillips of Georgetown, TX, and Wolcott, NY, and Judy (Richard) Tyler of Hannibal; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lynn Johnson, in 1974. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Dowdle Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 45 East Utica Street, Oswego.
