Mrs. Ruth Johnson - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Ruth Johnson entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Estell, SC, and attended the Public Schools of Hampton, SC. She was the owner of Ruth CafŽ in Savannah, GA, and a Senior Citizen Companion for over 20 years. Mrs. Johnson was a member of True Love Baptist Church where she served on the Pastor Aide Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Westley Johnson, son, Walter Brooks, and mother, Emily Fittz. Survivors are: three daughters, Irene Rebecca Allen of Brooklyn, NY, Corine Goodman of Syracuse, NY, and Geneva B. Clark of Savannah, GA; three sons, James Capers and Cleveland Brooks both of Syracuse, NY, and Rainey Brooks, Jr., of Savannah, GA; two uncles, Herbert James and Charles (Louise) James both of Deerfield, FL, twenty grandchildren a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
