JOHNSON, Ruth V. (Robertson) 93, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 19th, at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg. Born in Springfield, MA to the late Charles and Christina (Green) Robertson, she lived most of her life in Springfield before moving to St. Petersburg, 34 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry E. Johnson in 1991. Ruth was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and a former member of the Wachogue Congregational Church in Springfield. She was employed at Forbes and Wallace Department Store and Hollywood Uniform, both in Springfield. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Crews of St. Petersburg; by her son, Robert Johnson and his wife Lee of East Longmeadow; two grandchildren, Christine Kelly and her husband Brian of Bowling Green, KY and Eric Johnson and his fianceé, Amanda of Springfield and by three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Ethan and April. Family and friends are invited to meet for Ruth's Graveside Service on Friday, Jan. 28, at 11 am at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St., Springfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Macular Degeneration Research, American Health Assistance Foundation, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871 or online at www.ahaf.org.
