Ruth Johnson, 92, Sarasota, died April 25, 2003. She was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Cherryvale, Kan., and came to Sarasota in 2002 from Laurel, Md. She retired as a school teacher and was a life member of National Educational Association and Maryland State Teachers Association. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Theta Chapter, the Eastern Star and First United Methodist Church, all in Laurel. Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Broughton of Sarasota; and a grandchild.
