Johnson, Ruth I. WARRENSBURG Ruth I. Johnson, 84, passed away February 17, 2010. Born December 18, 1925 in Winchendon, Mass., daughter of the late Andrew and Marion (Cook) Antilla. She was married to John K. Johnson Sr. for 53 years before his passing on July 25, 1999. The couple resided in Jaffrey, N.H. and Valley Falls for over 30 years before retiring to Warrensburg. She was a member of the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Group of the church, member of the women's auxiliary of the Haskell Brother Post 4821 VFW, Glens Falls Hospital Guild, Queen Village Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, 50 Plus Club in Warrensburg. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her children and grandchildren, crossword puzzles, reading and knitting, and observing nature. Besides her parents and husband, also predeceased by brother, Andrew Antilla; sister, Shirley Niskala. Survivors, daughters: Brenda (Donald) Ossenfort of Rensselaer, Wendy (John) Peluso of Warrens-burg, Wanda (Carmen) Maciari-ello of Warrensburg, Robin (Jim) Drago of Macedon; son, Dr. John (Charity) Johnson Jr. of Springfield, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gwendolyn Niskala of Jaffrey, N.H., Barbara Lehtonen of New Ipswich, N.H.; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling 12-2 p.m. Sunday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrens-burg. Services follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Sunday.
