ANDERSON Ruth Hamilton Anderson, age 90, beloved wife of the late Gordon Anderson, formerly of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2005, at the Hewitt Memorial Hospital in Shelton. Ruth was born on December 2, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Etta Heath Hamilton. She was a proud graduate of the ChildrenPs Hospital, where she earned her RN degree in 1940. Ruth is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Martha Somers, and her husband, James, of Trumbull; Bruce Smith and two grandchildren, Sarah Barnett and her children, Jade, Erika, and Michael, and their father, Michael; grandson, Christopher Smith, and his wife Kristen, and their daughters, Samantha and Kaya; a special second daughter, Carole Brown; step-grandchildren, Lisa Powell, and her husband, Dave, and children, Clayton and Emily and their father, Mark Goodwin; Keith Somers and his fiancee, Wendy; Nicole Sypher and her husband, Jim; their children Arik and Jeffrey; her cherished friend, Janet Evans; and goddaughter Margaret. She was also survived by a very special friend and volunteer, Jane Deyoe; and many other dear friends at Stern Village including Jane Smith, Madeline and Gail. She was predeceased by her son, Gordon. The family would also like to thank the kind staff at Hewitt for their care given to their loved one.
