Smith, Ruth H.Sept. 14, 1909 - Sept. 17, 2007Ruth H. Smith, 98, Sarasota, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died Sept. 17, 2007.Memorial services will be announced. National Cremation Society is in charge., Survivors include brothers Herbert L. Hiegel of Tacoma, Wash., and Paul W. Hiegel of Lakeside, Ariz.Ruth will be interred next to her late husband in Dayton. Ruth lived most of her early life in Ohio and moved to Sarasota, where she had lived for the past 33 years. Ruth had a wonderful zest for life; she had a passion for gardening, and Mindy, her cat, was her big love. She was an inspiration to her many friends in the neighborhood and will be sorely missed.
