Born in Coaticook, Quebec, Ruth spent most of her life in Montreal, before retiring to Kingston. Beloved wife of the late Phillips Maitland Hannaford. Loving mother of Phillips Roy of Gainseville, Georgia; Edward Maitland of Bainsville, Ontario; Joan Angela of both Kingston and Atlanta, Georgia and Robert Akhurst, also of Bainsville, Ontario. Proud grandmother of Mary, Phillip, Sheryll, Peter, Bruce, Carol, James, Michael, Heather, Richard, Tara, Tracy and Mark and great grandmother of James, Jessica, Nina, Benjamin, Mariah, Alexis and Renee. Services were held at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel, Kingston, Ontario. Cremation with a private inurnment at Cataraqui Cemetery.
