MILLER, Ruth Elizabeth (nee KILMER) February 6, 1923 - October 25, 2014 . Our loving mother died peacefully on Saturday, October 25 at Eagle Ridge Manor in Port Moody, BC. She was born in Port Coquitlam to Edward and Ida Kilmer. . On September 9, 1942 she married Jim Miller and together they raised 5 children; Joan, Carol, Dorothy, George and Nancy. She is predeceased by her husband Jim on October 26, 1987, daughter Dorothy on September 9,1998 plus her sister Margeret Newcomb (Peg) and brother Jack Kilmer. . Ruth is survived by four of her five children and their spouses; Joan and Ken Liebscher, Carol and Joe Macintyre, George and Phyllis Miller, and Nancy and Allan Eisel, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, her sister, Cate Nicholson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Dorothy Miller, plus many nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00am at First Memorial, Burkview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Avenue, Port Coquitlam, BC. Mom will be missed for her great capacity to love and her support to her family. Donations can be made to Eagle Ridge Manor, Port Moody, BC, or to a charity of choice. Burkeview Chapel 604-944-7859
