Ruth Elizabeth Clark, 81, Seymour, passed away at 1 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Clark was born in Hayden on Oct. 24, 1927, the daughter of Lloyd and Evelyn Stewart George, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 11, 1946, in Jeffersonville, she married Bryan J. Clark Jr., who preceded her in death May 8, 1993. She was a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a homemaker. Ruth is survived by her sons, Terry (Tammy) Clark and Stanley Clark; grandchildren, Doug Young, Nicole Clark, Kailee Clark and Chloe Clark; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Oliver George. Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. A private graveside service will be held Friday at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
