MARSHFIELD Ruth E. (Dowling) Carpenter, of Marshfield, February 11, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of William G. Carpenter Retired Captain BFD. Dear mother of William Carpenter of Pembroke and Betty-Jean Triner and her husband Don of Middleboro. Loving Bubbie of Donald, Debbie, Amy, Kristin, Will, Scott and Pam. Also survived by 15 loving great grandchildren and a special friend, Betty Carpenter of Plymouth. Ruth was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She graduated from Dorchester High School and Burdett College. At Burdett College she taught typing and shorthand. Ruth was a member of The First Congregational Church of Marshfield and was the organist for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Benevolent Society at the church. Ruth was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Rexhame Chapter. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean St, Marshfield, MA on Sunday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. Contributions in Ruths memory may be made to The First Congregational Church of Marshfield, 1981 Ocean Street, P.O.
