Ruth Elese Long Davis, 60, of 1245 Davis Road, wife of Jack Stanley Davis, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at her home. Born in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late Deaton and Genevie Carter Long. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, of the home; a son, Jack Stanley "Bo" Davis II, of the home; a brother, Bobby Long, of Goldsboro, N.C.; and a granddaughter, Gaberalle Davis. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenville Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Lamar McAbee. The family members are at their respective homes, and will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. As a loving wife and mother, she will always be in our hearts.
