ObituaryRuth Carrick Morrison, Ft. Myers, FL., wife of the late Homer R. Morrison, died on December 23, 2003 after a short illness. She was 69. Born July 13, 1914 in Worcester, MA., she was a graduate and a member of the Caloosahatchee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Ft. Myers. Mrs. Morrison and her husband were resident of Darien, CT. from 1946 until 1978, when they retired to Florida, living in Miami, Punta Gorda and for the last 12 years in Ft. Myers. She was secretary for many years for the Darien High School Music Department and then for the Board of Education offices there. She sang in the choir at Noroton Presbyterian Church in Darien and Pinecrest Presbyterian in Miami, and served as an elder and deacon. Mrs. Morrison was active in the Wheaton Alumnae Association, and in May of 2001 attended her 65th college reunion. Survivors include daughters Pamela D. Bochinski (Richard) of Weston, CT. and Marjorie M. Hofer (William) of Ft. Myers and grandchildren Elise D. Bochinski of Weston and Jason R. Bochinski of Boulder, CO. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Stacey E. Hofer. Private services will take place in Connecticut at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Morrison's name to the Noroton Presbyterian Church, Darien, CT. or to a favorite charity.
