Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crestwood Chapel for Ruth Butler, 94, Trussville, formerly of Gadsden, who died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007. Bro. Cecil Brown will officiate. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.She was a longtime resident of Gadsden and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She knew and loved Jesus as her Lord and Savior.She was preceded in death by her husband, Leaster Butler; and daughter, Evelyn Butler.She is survived by her son, Jack D. (Carol H.) Butler; grandchildren, Cindy (Phillip) Burrow, Sara Butler and Mark Butler; great-grandson, Andy Burrow; and a number of nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
