BROCK, Maria Sybil Ruth (nee Stanley) Peacefully, at Granite Ridge Long-Term Care Facility, in Stittsville, with her husband and daughter by her side on Saturday May 1, 2010 in her 92nd year. She is survived by her husband Nelson, children Barry and his wife Janice, Karen Bean and her husband Doug, grandchildren Jeff Bean and his wife Debbie Riordon-Bean, Shari-Lynn McNulty and her husband Dwayne, great-grandchildren Thomas and Alexandra Bean and Evan McNulty, sister Mildred Robinson of Inverness, Quebec and brother Archie and his wife Irma of Shawville, Quebec. She is predeceased by her parents Arbina Moore and Leonard Stanley, sister Lucille Burns and brothers John and Reggie. In addition to being a loving wife to Nelson, for over 66 years, and to her extended family, she was also a noted Eastern Township of Quebec elementary school teacher. She touched the lives of many children and for the last 15 years of her teaching career, she taught elementary classes at St. Francis High School in Richmond, Quebec. A Memorial Service celebrating Ruth's life will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1619 Main Street, Stittsville on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 1:30 pm, followed by a reception.
