<!-- Ruth Bond JOHNSON --> JOHNSON, Ruth Bond Tennessee native, Ruth Bond Johnson, beloved wife of Ralph S. Johnson, died peacefully September 23, 2009 at age 97 in Tempe, AZ. Born in Union City, TN, she was raised in Nashville, and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1934. In 1937, she married United Airlines test pilot Ralph Johnson. The couple made Cheyenne, WY their home for the next 50 years, where Ruth was active in the Presbyterian Church and several charities. Ruth is survived by her husband, Ralph; sons, Alan and Stephen; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Janet, preceded her in death. A nephew, Dr. John B. Bond, lives with his family in Nashville. A Private Memorial is planned in Tempe.
