Ruth-Ann Alexander Johnson1931 - 2014AUGUSTA - Ruth-Ann Alexander Johnson was born on Dec. 5, 1931, in Olde Saybrook Pointe, Conn., to Mildred Mithell and John Bruce Alexander. She was born laughing and left this world the same way with many laughs in between. She always had an interesting story to tell. She died on Nov. 26, 2014, at Maine General Medical Center after suffering for two years with pulmonary arterial hypertension.Ruth-Ann worked at New England Telephone for 30 years where she met her husband of 47 years, Winfield Keith Johnson. She worked for many years at Bank of Maine and various departments of State of Maine, retiring at 80 years of age.Ruth-Ann lived in several states but mostly Maine. She had a generous heart of gold, was well versed in many topics. Her hobbies were towle painting, crafts, reading, cooking and fussing over her beautiful gardens. Her personality lit up any room she was in even to the end. She and Keith traveled to Missouri, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Maine and New England.
