<!-- FH = Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. -->Ruth AndersonRuth Lenore (Campbell) Anderson, age 98, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2013. She was the oldest of three children and was born in Princeton, MO, January, 31, 1915, to William F. and Minnie Adkins Campbell. She attended the University of Missouri for two years and then transferred to Washington University in St Louis, MO graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 1935. While attending MU she met her future husband, Robert Finis Anderson, and they were married February 9, 1936, in the historic Arrow Rock Tavern in Arrow Rock, MO. They spent several years in various towns and settled in Bolivar, MO in 1946 where they lived for over 60 years and would raise their family of four children in the family home on Summit Street. They were long time members of the Bolivar United Methodist Church. Many memories of a wonderful childhood provided by parents who were role models are shared by the family. Especially cherished are memories of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was an intelligent, creative and talented woman.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Hilah Campbell Diers; her husband of 62 years, Robert Finis Anderson; her daughter, Ruth Elizabeth Anderson Woody and her grandson, Lawrence Kevin Anderson. She is survived by her brother, William F. Campbell Jr., Camarillo, CA; her children, Robert F. Anderson II, Plano, TX; Lawrence Campbell Anderson, Fayette, MO and Nancy Lane Anderson Teters, Rogersville, MO, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Monday, May 27, 2013, at 10 AM, in the Hickory Grove Church near Morrisville, MO. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
