->GARDINER -- Ruth A. Weeks, 85, of Gardiner passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Maine Veterans' Home in Augusta, following a long illness.She was born in East Bridgewater, Mass., on Dec. 4, 1922, a daughter of Arthur O. and E. Louise McCordick Gagnon.Ruth was employed at Health Tex in Farmingdale for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, her friends and, especially, the Boston Red Sox.Ruth was predeceased by her parents; her husband, George Weeks; brothers Raymond and Edward Gagnon; and her sister, Doris Connelly.She is survived by three children, daughter Terry Buckmore and her husband, Harold, of North Carolina, son Raymond Weeks, of Augusta, and daughter Toby Morgan, of Augusta; two brothers, Joseph Gagnon and his wife, Gloria, of Augusta, and Russell Gagnon and his wife, Shirley, of Deland, Fla.; her sister, Jessie Cobb and her husband, Alton, of Gardiner; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Visiting hours will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where a 3 p.m. funeral service will follow. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, beside her husband.
