Russell R. Williams, 88, North Port, died March 20, 2006, in Punta Gorda. He was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Cleveland and came to North Port from there in 1980. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Bernice; daughters Alice Jameson of North Port and Barbara Tarman of Greer, S.C.; a son, Russell of Andover, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the church memorial garden. Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel, is in charge.
