Obituary of Russell-George Clarke

CLARKE, Russell George - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russell George Clarke born May 22, 1947 in his 62 year. He passed January 2, 2009. He was a sailor on the Great Lakes for many years. He sailed for Canada Steamship Lines and Upper Lakes Canada. He was predeceased by his father Percival George Clarke, baby brother Eli Clarke, sister Shirley (Clarke) Whalen, nephew Steven Mauger. He leaves behind his mother Elsie Clarke of Grand Bank, NFLD, wife Nancy of Grand Bank, NFLD, children Natalie Clarke of Grand Bank NFLD, Philip (Cheryl) Clarke of St. Catharines, ON, David (Natalie) Clarke of Quebec, Sharon (Michael) Jean of St. Catharines, ON, Christopher (Valerie) Clarke of Clarenville, NFLD. He was poppa to Alyson, Steven, Rachel, Joshua, Justin, Zachary, Jessika, Kelsey, Kyle, Courtney. He also leaves behind sisters and brothers Helen (Kevin) Mauger of St. Catharines, ON, Walter (Verna) Clarke of Edmonton, Marjorie (Clarke) Sheppard of Lewin's Cove, NFLD, Ruben (Melva) Clarke of Grand Bank, NFLD. He will also be missed by former wife Marion Clarke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, 400 Niagara St., St. Catharines, on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Please be advised that no scents of any kind be worn.
