Obituary of Russell-D. -Newton III


BLYTHE, Ga. - Russell D. Newton III, age 66, of Blythe, GA, entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2008 at Burke Medical Center, Waynesboro, GA. He is survived by his wife, Barbara P. Newton. He was the son of the late Mattie Lee Blount Newton and Russell D. Newton Jr. He was retired and had worked as an electrical mechanic for General Electric. Mr. Newton is additionally survived by his son Brett Jay Newton, Blythe, GA, a daughter Sarah Israel (Scott), New Orleans, LA, two sisters, Jeannine Caillouet (Marion), Marrero, LA and Rita N. Eskew , Waynesboro, GA, one brother, Alfred Newton (Ginger), Slidel, LA, four grandchildren, Russell D. Newton IV, Andrew Newton, Mallorie Israel, and Alisa Israel, and one great-granddaughter, Mattie Elizabeth Newton. Funeral services for Mr. Newton will be conducted on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Robertson's Heritage Chapel , 220 East Sixth Street, Waynesboro, GA with Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment will follow. Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Thrift, Frank Bartlett, Cody Mantooth, Nathan Mantooth, Wendell Stinchcomb and Gary Melton.
