SYLVANIA, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby Jacqueline (Jackie) Mays Hill, 82, of Sylvania, died Saturday morning, October 20, 2012, at her residence under the care of her devoted family and Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born in Burke County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Ruby Murphy and Hubert Mays. She was a member of the Hurst Baptist Church and was a retired bookkeeper and admissions clerk at Screven County Hospital iin Sylvania for 28 years. Survivors include: Her husband, Austin Matthew (A.M.) Hill, Jr., Sylvania, 5 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Gary W. Hill, Gerald D. Hill, Ronald A. and Wendy Hill, and Richard E. and Laura Hill all of Sylvania, and Randal D. and Melissa Hill of Millen, GA. A sister: Arnoldine M. Loren of Hephzibah, GA, Grandchildren: Cindy Sheffield, Deanna Zeigler, Stephanie Hill, Chelsea Hill, Matthew Hill, Taylor Hill, Casey Stichtenoth, Mitchell Dickey, Judy Faye Daniels, Jada Dickey, Emily Hill, Katie Hill, and Holly Hill, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Hill will be held Monday, October 22, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hurst Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Hill's former co-workers at Screven County Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday evening, October 21, 2012, from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will be at the residence of Ricky and Laura Hill.
