Athens<!--Athens-->Funeral for Ruby Long Johnson, 86, of Athens will be Monday, July 20, 2009, at 4 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Bro. Donald Terry officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson, who died Friday, July 17, 2009, at Limestone Health Facility, was born July 13, 1923, in Decatur to Acey Herman Long and Hollie Lee Avirett Long. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. &#8220;Bob&#8221; Johnson, Sr.; and one sister, Helon Baugh Maples. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca &#8220;Becky&#8221; Johnson Kraus and husband, Johnny, of Athens; two sons, Robert L. &#8220;Bob&#8221; Johnson, Jr. and wife, Phyllis Smith Johnson, of Athens, and William H. &#8220;Bill&#8221; Johnson and wife, Patsy Hicks Johnson, of Naperville, Ill.; three sisters, Lois Dicks of Decatur, Ruth Jones Hochstetler of Decatur, and Bettye Wallace of Decatur; one brother, Herman Long, Jr. of Hernando, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Robert D. &#8220;Rob&#8221; Johnson and wife, Mollie, of Littleton, Colo., Randall C. &#8220;Randy&#8221; Johnson and wife, Mary, of Clarksville, Tenn., William H. Johnson of Portland, Ore., Curtis D. Johnson of Costa Mesa, Calif., Kelli Southard and husband, Danny, of Athens, Amanda Roberts and husband, Eric, of Athens, Roderick A. Kraus and wife, Leah, of Athens; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert D. Johnson, Randall C. Johnson, Roderick A. Kraus, Danny W. Southard and Eric W. Roberts. Honorary pall-bearers will be William H. Johnson, Jr. and Curtis D. Johnson.
