She retired as a florist from Bi-Lo. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. Ruby enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and jig-saw puzzles. She also enjoyed white-water rafting and collecting cook books.Surviving are her companion, Don Stanberry; a son, Mike Henry and wife Angie; two daughters, Kim Stanberry, and Kelly Topper and husband Pat; a brother, Paul "Pee-Wee" Jordan and wife Barbara; a sister, Shirley Owens and husband Joe; and four grandchildren, Carylanne, Will, and Catelyn Henry, and Olivia Topper.Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Tommy Lowe. Burial will be in Mount Olive Baptist Church in Hickory Tavern.
