CARTER, Ruby L. Glass 67, of Thonotosassa went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James; parents, Charles & Bessie Glass; sister, Lois and brother, Raymond who are waiting for her in Heaven. She was a loving mother to her four children, Robert, Kenneth and Louise Carter, all of Wesley Chapel and Deborah Carter of Old Fort, NC. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jane, Pauline and Loni; 3 brothers, Jr., Ronnie, and W.C., along with many nieces and nephews and a roommate and true friend, Mike. She will be truly missed by her 5 companions and best friends, Baby, Rocky, Bengi, Cherokee and Lilben; her parrot, Sam and cat, Mouser. Ruby worked at The Texaco in Thonotosassa. The family will receive friends from 10 am-12 pm Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at the Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Funeral Home, 12690 N. 56th St, Temple Terrace with a funeral service to be held 12 Noon.
