JOHNSON, Ruby MaryOctober 13, 1920 – March 21, 2017It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ruby Johnson. She passed away peacefully March 21, 2017 at the Devonshire Care Centre in Edmonton after a long and productive life as a teacher and school principal in Edmonton during most of her working life and volunteer worker and world traveller after retirement. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Sivert and Ingrid Johnson and two infant brothers. She leaves to mourn her loving sister, Gina (Bjarne) Myhre and two nephews, Mark and Peter. A celebration of Ruby''s life will be held at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church, 10603 Ellerslie Road SW in Edmonton on Saturday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Gordon Sorensen officiating. Ruby''s sister, Gina and her family would like to recognize the excellent care Ruby received at the Devonshire Care Centre the last four years of her life where in spite of her extreme physical disability, she was appreciated and well cared for.
