JOHNSON, Ruby J. 80, of Largo, died June 4, 2008. Born in Snyder, TX in 1927, to Leslie "Doc" and Hattie Belle Howell and moved to Florida in 1970, after traveling all over the world with her serviceman husband of over 63 years, Robert "Bob." Survived by 5 children, Robert II (Sharon), Jimmy (Teri), Mary (Tony), Johnny (Lori), Mike (Arlene); 7 grandchildren, Tiffany, Bobby, Jason, Cameron, Jimmy, Cline and Brad; and 8 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Charlene Johnson; 3 brothers, Billy, Wayne and Charles Howell predecease her. Although a proud Texan, she was a long time resident of Largo, a devoted wife and loving mother. She spent many years teaching neighborhood children to bowl at local bowling alleys and was active for many years in the Eastern Star. She was a member and Past Matron of Order of the Eastern Star, Camp Knox Chapter, Radcliff, KY, and an honorable member of the order of Kentucky Colonels. A memorial service was held in the Pay Pines National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Mohn Funeral Home/Cremation Seminole 727-393-3481
