Ruby Holcombe Henderson, 87, of Reedy Fork Road, and widow of John Henry "Bob" Henderson, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004.Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late William Berry and Lula Spillers Holcombe.Mrs. Henderson was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church. She was a member of the Iris Eustace Sunday School Class, the Young at Heart Senior Group and the Women's Missionary Union, and taught Sunday School for more than 50 years as long as her health permitted. Surviving are her daughter, Rachel Bagwell, and her husband, Ralph, of Greenville, S.C.; son, Jack C. Henderson, of Belton, S.C.; a sister, Clara Coley, of Gastonia, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Sally Henderson Tice, and her husband, Tony, of Williamston, S.C.; and grandchildren, Suzanne B. Martin, and her husband, DeWayne Martin, Deborah H. Godfrey, and her husband, Shane, Chris Henderson, and his wife, Beth. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Katie and Christopher Henderson and Cameron and Jake Godfrey.She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Kellett; two brothers, J.T. Holcombe and J.W. "Shorty" Holcombe; and a son, Charles "Bud" Henderson.Funeral services will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. at Reedy Fork Baptist Church.
