Ruby Evelyn Scott, 59, Boca Grande and formerly of Arcadia, died July 18, 2004. She was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Arcadia and had lived most of her life on Boca Grande. She owned and operated Ruby's Cleaning Service for over 30 years on the island. She was a member of the First Baptist Church-Boca Grande. Survivors include sons Marty of Englewood and Pete Jr. of Grove City; her mother, Flora Willis of Rotonda West; and sisters Vernice Rodriguez of Rotonda West and Linda Clark of Tampa. No local services are scheduled, and her ashes will be scattered by the family. Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood is in charge.
